Software Engineer
Hivekind offers a variety of web application development services. We follow industry best practices when writing software, utilizing techniques such as pair-programming, code review, and automated code quality evaluation. We love agile development and prefer to use Scrum in our projects. We are currently seeking skilled Software Engineers to join our team.
Seniority and Salary
- We are hiring candidates at both mid and senior levels.
- Salaries will be offered according to ability and experience and can range from MYR 108,000 to MYR 233,400 annually.
About the Role
- You’ll be a member of a small team of developers that deliver product increments in an agile setting.
- You’ll help your team by producing quality work through planning sessions, pair programming, code review, and the use of code quality metrics.
- You’ll help improve technical processes so that the whole team stays productive.
- You’ll look for and take opportunities to help the team become stronger and more experienced.
- You’ll be comfortable talking extemporaneously about team status and progress with a variety of stakeholders when needed.

- You like to get to know about peripheral disciplines which help you achieve quality, like QA, Project/Product Management, UI/UX Design.

Skills and Requirements
- For mid-level positions, candidates should have three or more years of experience in web application development, with at least one year working with Laravel or Ruby on Rails. For senior positions, candidates should have six or more years of experience in web application development, with at least three years working with Laravel or Ruby on Rails.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Good temperament, a genuine enjoyment of working as a team, and of helping others grow.
- Relevant technical experience with some or all of the following: JavaScript ecosystem, React.js, PostgreSQL, Redis.
