Technical Product Manager

At Hivekind, we partner with our clients to grow and enhance their software-based products. We are actively seeking a technically proficient Product Manager to join our team.

Seniority and Salary

  • This position is open to mid-level candidates.
  • Salaries will be offered according to ability and experience and can range up to MYR 86,400 to MYR 108,000 annually.

About the Role

  • You will serve as the main point of contact between our clients and the development team, managing one or several ongoing Hivekind projects.
  • You will be working closely with clients and technical teams to identify requirements and success criteria, ensuring that all stakeholders’ needs are met.
  • You are expected to collaborate deeply with your development team to understand the details, challenges, and opportunities of each project, ensuring that all requirements are technically feasible and aligned with the team’s capabilities.
  • You will be tasked with gathering input from stakeholders within the client’s organisation and the development team to maintain and prioritise a product backlog that is coherent and aligned with project goals.
  • You will provide clear and consistent communication to both clients and internal teams about the product’s status, including progress updates, risks, challenges, and potential blockers.
  • You will also ensure that all product documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and effectively bridges the gap between business needs and technical execution.

About You

  • You thrive on building products and are driven by the impact they can have on users and businesses.
  • You have a solid understanding of web technologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). You’re able to discuss technical details with developers and can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • While you may not be a designer, you are familiar with UX best practices and can effectively use mock-up tools to communicate your ideas.
  • You prefer to base your decisions on data, using tools like surveys and usability testing, but you’re also comfortable using intuition when needed.
  • You enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, and you’re skilled at translating diverse inputs into actionable tasks.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Technical Project Manager in software projects.
  • You possess demonstrable knowledge of web technologies, including a strong grasp of development processes (design, development, testing, deployment).
  • You have a strong proficiency in Scrum and a solid understanding of other agile methodologies.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.
  • You possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • You excel in working with diverse personality types and can effectively gather, refine, and prioritise feedback.
